The City of Maroa Police Department is accepting application for the positions listed. Applications can be picked up at City Hall / Police Department (120 S. Locust Street, Maroa Illinois) or visit City of Maroa Webpage (maroaillinois.gov) to Download. The Application should have all Certifications attached when submitting.
Police Officer –
1 Fulltime Patrol & 2 School Resource Officers
MUST BE a graduate of one of either the full-time or part-time sworn police officer training programs and be State of Illinois Certified, or have appropriate training and certification from another state that is compatible with the Illinois Law Enforcement Training & Standards Board.
Minimum Qualifications include:
21 years of age
U.S. Citizen
High School Graduate (or Equivalent)
Valid Driver’s License (minimal driving record)
Valid FOID Card
Good Moral Character
Good Mental and Physical Condition
No Felony or Domestic Violence Convictions
All qualified applications will be required to:
Pass an Oral Interview,
Pass a thorough Background Investigation,
Pass a Pre-employment Physical, and Drug Screening
