Police Officer – Part-Time
All Police functions pertaining to traffic, criminal, and city ordinance’s. Handle all other Police functions as assigned by City Board or Police Chief.
Minimum Qualifications include:
21 years of age
High School Graduate (or Equivalent)
Valid Driver’s License (minimal driving record)
Valid FOID Card
Good Moral Character
Good Mental and Physical Condition
No Felony or Domestic Violence Convictions
MUST BE a graduate of one of either the full-time or part-time sworn police officer training programs and be State of Illinois Certified, or have appropriate training and certification from another state that is compatible with the Illinois Law Enforcement Training And Standards Board.
All qualified applications will be required to:
Pass an Oral Interview,
Pass a thorough Background Investigation,
Pass a Pre-employment Physical, and Drug Screening

Line up starts at 9 am at Maroa Forsyth HIgh School Parking lot. The parade starts at 10 am. Activities all day long. The fun ends with fireworks at dusk.
